What are some rewards you would like to receive for your labor? Well adjusted children, a smoothly run household, a happy spouse, inspiring children or__________? People love to quote you reap what you sow. Usually when someone says it they mean in the negative. But if you and I learn to be givers we will also reap a great harvest.
If you would like to reap the harvest of financial freedom and stability you may have to go back to school, cut up the credit cards, take your lunch to work, or do without the cell phone, Oh no! not the cell phone. These are the are the material rewards.
The rewards most of don't pay any attention to are intrinsic. To make friends you must show yourself friendly. If you want favor you have to be a giver of your time, talent and treasure. To be blessed Jesus instructs us to bless those who persecute us and despitefully use us. You can not do this by willpower. Take it from me. You must daily ask the Father to strengthen you.
Then there is the reward of forgetting about dear old you. :) The more we consider someone elses' life, opinion, what they bring to the table the more joy we will experience. We often gravitate towards people who we feel can do something for us or take us where we'd like to go. The bible says to esteem others highly and do not think of ourselves more highly than we ought. The fruits of being open is learning more than one way to do a thing, therefore being efficient and effective.
Maybe there is something new you need to try in your relationship or marriage. If you are single it may be time to work on your issues. Stop being so clingy, get a life. The reward is you will feel better about yourself and others will too.
Personally, I hope being brave enough to blog will help others and create other opportunites for writing.
I hope everyone will consider what you want to see in your life, you will work on that, and see the rewards.
I wish you well on your journey to a truly rewarding future!
