I AM THANKFUL!

I am thankful for my life. I am thankful to see another season of advent. I am thankful to see God's movement in my life and also in my family. I am thankful that the Lord is my peace and contentment. I am thankful I have a mind to pray for those who are weary during this season. Now Behold the Precious Gift that we were given, JESUS!

Making Mention (God's Thoughts About You)

Eph 1:15-20

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
NKJV

My sisters if you are having a tough time right now remember this scripture. These are just a few of the many thoughts our God is having about us. He is speaking to us through the Apostle Paul. He wants us to really know Him and experience him. It is His desire that we go beyond Sunday Morning.

Blessings!

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY

All who are led by the spirit are the sons of God, And so we should not be like cringing, fearful slaves, but we should behave like God's very own children, adopted into the bosom of his family.

Romans 8:14-15

PRODIGAL SONS AND DAUGHTERS

The story of the prodigal son teaches us a life lesson on how God deals with his children. The father in the story promises an inheritance to each son. The younger one does not want to wait, he wants his NOW! He goes to a far country and finds himself with bad company. He becomes a slave. After he comes to himself, he realizes how good he had it at his Father's house. He climbs out of the mess he's made and heads for his Father's house. The father is happy to see his son.

I would like to look at this story from a different angle. I thought of Peter's instruction in II Peter, that we are to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we want things in God before time, we do not grow in grace. Graceful people have wisdom. They know when to do it and how, they know how to say it and when. I believe the lesson of this story is to show us what can happen if we get ahead of our Father. Will you trust him today with what you need and when you need it? If it is a good thing, he is more than happy to give it to you. There is always safety in the father's care and in his will. Trust him today!

Mary and Elizabeth (Two great Mothers)

The two greatest Mothers.

Mary and Elizabeth were cousins. They were both pregnant. Elizabeth knew she had to get to Mary because they were both giving birth to something God started. Elizabeth said she felt her baby leap after talking to Mary. The point. Make sure you are cultivating relationships that make your baby leap! God has given everyone something to birth. Many of us have had abortions. Spirtual ones that is. If you baby has died. Ask the Lord to give you another chance to conceive. Then pray to be surrounded by those who stir up the thing you are giving birth to through prayer and encouragement.

Father,

Remind us that sisterhood is a beautiful thing.
Two are better than one and three cord strand cannot be easily broken
We pray today for divine relationships
A Naomi and Ruth relationship,
A Mary and Elizabeth relationship,
We need each other to survive.
Lord, help us not to harm one another.
The enemy desires to have us, because you placed so much in us.
You are greater.
We roll all of our works on you today.

Blessings to all of my sisters!

IS YOUR GOD TOO SMALL?

OK Girls! Today's post is not a ranting raving post. Inhale......Exhale...... It is a simple question. Is your God too small? Don't make this a scary question. It is actually a good question. Is your God the God of the bible? I hope so.

He has done and continues to do marvelous things! As one author put it, we often miss out on where God is working in our everyday lives because we are too BUSY! You know God does speak through people. The people you don't want to hear. Yes, like your significant other or the children. God also did miraculous things and he still does. He is no respecter of persons. Do you need a miracle today? I do.

God also used ordinary people like Mary, Ester, Rahab, and Ruth. When Mary knew she would be with child and it would be a holy thing, she said "be it unto me as you say, Lord" Many of us have stopped believing God to do miraculous things in our lives. We work. We cook. We sleep. As Emril says "Lets kick it up a notch" Ok.

A CONTINUAL FEAST!

All the days of the afflicted are bad, But a cheerful heart has a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15

Girlfriends, don't we all know that it is we who decided what kind of day we're going to have? We know in theory, but do we really know that in truth? You decide each and every day if your day is going to be good or bad.

Having a cheerful heart is a God given right. Whatever you do, don't let the enemy steal this from you. He will use anything! He only does what we allow.

Make sure that you are taking care of yourself spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Affliction usually occurs when one of these areas is not taken care of. Find a passage of scripture to meditate on. The Psalms are good to read. Try Psalms 34, 46, 91, and 121.

Make a decision to be happy! Use the gift of family that God has given you. Pamper yourself every now and then, and don't let anyone tell you that it's selfish.

A prayer

Lord, thank you for being God all by yourself,
Thank you for providing us with everything we need,
You are our strength and our song,

We will always have what we need if we depend on you,
Lord we thank you for mercy and grace
Lord we will not lift up our soul to any idol
You are the true God

Lord I thank you that you know my name,
and you alone establish my goings,
Lord I thank you that when I was in my mothers womb,
you saw me and ordained a purpose for me

Lord thank you for being my inexhaustible supply,
Lord when everything else runs out,
I can always run to you.
Lord forgive me, when I act like you are not enough
You are my God and King,
I praise you!
